Addictive TV’s Orchestra of Samples is coming to Falmouth!
With over 200 musicians from 30 countries, and 6 years in the making... Music producers Addictive TV are bringing a digital supergroup to The Poly on May 31st.
Addictive TV is made up of Graham Daniels and Mark Vidler – a duo who create music with a difference; music you can see!
They have spent six years filming improvised recording sessions with musicians around the world, then sampling and splicing them together to create the ‘Orchestra of Samples’ project. The result is a digital supergroup of international artists who have never met but play together on-screen.
You can see Addictive TV’s show of international samples at The Poly on Thursday 31st May. Find full information at http://thepoly.org/whats-on/event/711/addictive-tv-orchestra-of-samples and have a look at what they do here:
Addictive TV have also made their samples available for other music producers to create their own remixes at http://www.orchestraofsamples.com/remix
Daniels explains “We began Orchestra of Samples with no preconceptions, just a curiosity to explore musical possibilities with the pop-up recording sessions being organised whenever we could. It’s about bringing people together, and creating something that you didn’t know you could, and so now we want to give away samples for people to try their hand at it too”.
Give it a go! We hope you can create some more great music and enjoy Addictive TV’s performance next month.
