This year, Cornwall is crammed with Christmas markets and fairs, providing visitors with quality food, drink and festive fun. There are plenty of opportunities to find perfect gifts and goodies, so here’s your guide to some of the best shopping events this Christmas!

1. Christmas Market at Knightor Winery

Knightor Winery, St Austell

For some Christmas magic this year, come along to Knightor Winery’s Christmas Market where you can fill your bellies with delicious, local produce and feel the cheer with Christmas music and festive sparkle.

Wrap up cosy and warm and enjoy hot food and drinks as you wander through the winery, browsing beautiful handmade and locally produced crafts, food, drinks and wines. 2. Heartlands Christmas Market

Heartlands, Redruth

Head to Heartlands for some festive fun! There will be plenty of stalls selling an array of locally made crafts, perfect for anyone looking to purchase a unique gift.

3. Gwithian Christmas Craft Fayre

The Rockpool, Hayle

The Rockpool is hosting a second craft fayre is back for its second year, helping to kickstart the festive period and celebrate our local makers, a perfect day for stocking up on Christmas gifts!

You can browse and perchance from a great range of local makers, enjoy The Rockpool’s all-day breakfast, yummy lunches and light bites. There is also festive-themed craft sessions for the whole family, led by Rock & Roots – providing a perfect setting to immerse yourself in the outdoors and a wonderful way to celebrate nature-based Christmas craft activities.

4. Truro Farmers Market Big Christmas Market

The Big Christmas Market brings various market stalls featuring a revolving selection of the finest local food, drink, arts and crafts to Lemon Quay.

Food lovers will be greeted with an array of tempting stalls; fresh, sustainably-caught fish and shellfish, grass-fed and free-range meat from local farmers, artisan dairy products and sought-after store cupboard ingredients. Drinks aficionados can expect a huge swathe of locally made craft beers, small-batch ciders, award-winning wines and artisan spirits from Cornwall’s finest producers.

A treasure-trove of arts and craft stalls will feature everything from vintage homewares to willow weaving, handmade soaps to eye-catching jewellery – perfect for picking up unique gifts.

5. The Enchanted Christmas Market

Royal Cornwall Events Centre, Wadebridge

This year the Enchanted Christmas market returns with the best of stalls, catering, bars and festive entertainment.
Santa will of course be visiting, so you’re little ones will receive a gift from Santa himself! There will also be 20m synthetic ice rink, which you can enjoy with the whole family.

6. Mousehole Christmas Craft Fair

The annual Mousehole Christmas Fair is back. This is a perfect place to start off the season of goodwill. Featuring an abundance of gifts, home accessories, skincare, candles, jewellery, woodwork and many more handmade quality items.

Pocket Full of Stones distillery will be offering for sale their full range of award-winning gins, brandy, mulled cider and other goodies. Beautiful plants, displays, and wreaths will be available to buy and order. Great gift ideas for foodies too with Cornish Seasalt having their full range (including exclusive flavours not available in shops).

7. Christmas Craft Fayre

St Martin-in-Meneage Village Hall, Helston

At this fun-filled one day Christmas Craft Fayre, you can buy from an array of unique and handpicked suppliers and crafters; Crafters include driftwood, preserves, jewellery, resin, cards & art. Shop handmade crafts, treats and goodies – perfect for presents and gifts for you and your loved ones, in time for Christmas!

There will also be a charity raffle in aid of Cornwall Air Ambulance.

8. The Great Christmas Market

The Alverton, Truro

As part of this year’s festive calendar, The Alverton’s first-ever Great Christmas Market will be hosted in their historic Great Hall, where over forty talented exhibitors will display and sell their incredible products, including crafts, jewellery, spirits, artisan goods and more!

There will also be live music, Christmas carolling, festive foodie treats and crafty workshops including wreath making.

9. Jubilee Wharf Christmas Fair

For a weekend of festive fun, be sure to come to Jubilee Wharf! There will be over 25 stalls indoors and outside selling handmade & re-crafted gifts.

As well as fun in the courtyard and food & drink all day at Muddy Beach Café. Jubilee Wharf’s Christmas Fair is firmly established as a reliable, relaxed and fun way of grabbing unique goodies.

10. Christmas Markets

Fri 3rd – Sun 5th December, 2021
St Ives Guildhall, St Ives

Come and support over 30+ artisan makers in the fabulous surroundings of St Ives Guildhall. The canopy of lights will be up all weekend and the bar will be open on Friday and Saturday to enjoy mulled wine or your favourite tipples while you shop.

There will be jewellers, ceramicists, textile artists, confectioners and lots more interesting, original creations from very talented creative artisans from around the county and beyond. Everything on their stalls is either created, designed, made, or baked by them or someone local to them.

Friday night sees the Phoenix Singers St Ives perform Christmas favourites. Saturday afternoon the fabulous Kerrier Male Choir will be singing some Christmas Carols and other pieces from their repertoire.

11. Folksy Local Online Christmas Markets

This year many of us are thinking about how we can have a more sustainable, environmentally-friendly, Christmas. One option is to buy handmade, locally sourced gifts – and the easiest way to do this is by attending one of Folksy’s regional virtual Christmas craft markets.

You won’t need to worry about the weather, or facing the hordes at busy Christmas fairs, because Folksy is hosting five regional Christmas markets, showcasing local arts and crafts for you to browse and buy from the comfort of your own sofa.

Visitors to the online markets will be able to browse and buy original items from stallholders, watch craft demonstrations and interviews with the makers.

12. The Makers' Market Christmas Edition

The Exchange, Penzance

The Christmas Edition of The Makers’ Market takes place on the same day as the Penzance Christmas Lights switch-on and is a great way to get into the festive spirit. With a superb selection of works in ceramics, jewellery, print, textile, homewares, bookbinding and more, you are guaranteed to find incredible gifts for your friends and family. You can also meet their friendly makers, who are always happy to chat about their work or discuss commissions.

The Exchange Cafe will serve food throughout the day with plenty of choices, from tasty savouries to scrumptious cakes – and, of course, mince pies and mulled wine. There will be free craft activities for you and your children, to make colourful Christmas tree decorations.
