Parkrun is a free, fun and friendly weekly 5k walk, jog, run … or volunteer!
The very first Land’s End parkrun was on 9th November 2019. It was officially launched on 4th January 2020 and started by Cornish sporting legend, Olympic rowing champion, Helen Glover.
Since then, there have been over 4,000 finishers at Land’s End. The last person (the tail walker) typically takes an hour or so, with an average finish time around 31 minutes and a course record of under 16 minutes. So, you can see parkrun is all about your own enjoyment. Please come along and take part whatever your pace!
Every week Land’s End parkrun needs a band of volunteers to turn out to ensure the event takes place and approximately 200 individuals have done so to date. The only interruptions have been due to Covid lockdowns or severe storms.
If you would like to join us celebrate our 100th parkrun then you may wish to register at www.parkrun.org.uk/register and bring along your barcode which you will be issued with. Every week we grab a post parkrun refreshment locally – please come and join us.
