Penzance litfest presents Des Hannigan: 'Wage Slave to the Page'.

A gambol through the life of a jobbing writer, a hack, a ‘wage slave to the page’. Des Hannigan will talk about his 30-year career as a news reporter, feature writer and guidebook author. Although he’s lived in Cornwall for most of his adult life, he still retains his Scottish accent in the hope of one day acquiring a tartan-covered passport. Settle down for world travel, colourful characters, outrageous tales, political satire, writing triumphs and disasters, plus a seasoning of writing tips and tricks.
