Details
There is free parking on site with dedicated low mobility spaces. On busy days and for larger events, we have an adjacent overflow car park – a short woodland walk from the caverns. If you are coming as a big group in separate vehicles, particularly for concerts, we encourage you to lift-share as much as possible Due to the historical nature of the site, specific areas of the gardens and the lower caverns have limited access for those with reduced mobility. The upper cavern, The Rum Store, is fully accessible, including for wheelchair users. The lower cavern, has limited access for reduced mobility & wheelchair users, via a ramp to a viewing platform. The lower cavern levels and underground lake are accessed via a 100 year-old flight of steps with handrails. The fully accessible upper cavern, The Rum Store, is where the majority of concerts and events are held. The Terraced Gardens are partially accessible for a short stroll, with plenty of benches amongst the greenery. The Woodland Walk is fairly wild and steep in places, and is not fully accessible.
