A night for those dancing feet… With several great albums under his belt for soundway and wonderwheel records, world renowned multi instrumentalist Gabriel Poso joins us with his band for a night of Afro-Cuban roots music.
With classy syncopated drums that are carried on the back of driving and funky basslines. Songs with analog dub elements and groovy throughout, with his organic sound and contemporary electronic language. A perfect mix of organic beat and dance floor attitude.
Catatumbo
Opening for Gabriele, a fantastic local favourite Catatumbo, who bring an authentic Venezuelan sounds with a Cornish twist.
Bringing their own renditions of popular Venezuelan traditional songs including: Tambor from the coast, waltzes from the Andes and Joropo from the llanos. Fresh from the summer festival scene, Catatumbo (el relampago del sur del lago) present a varietyof styles from all corners of the country.
Featuring the unmistakable sound and infectious Latin rhythms of the traditional Venezuelan cuatro, with brass and percussion section and fretless or double bass.
DJ Miss Fi-Fi
Miss Fi-Fi’s sounds are Latin, African and other worldly inspired interpretations of traditional music, laced and stitched together with cutting edge, bass laden, foot stomping electronica that has percussive depth, heart and soul.
Making waves on the Cornish coast and a regular favourite at Tropical Pressure, Miss Fi-Fi is sure to bring her infectious energy for all things to make the crowd dance and deliver her gift of sunshine through the speakers.
