Holly Holden is a singer, songwriter and bassist from London with a tropical soul. A long-term love affair with Latin America and many years spent music-making in the region have shaped her unique sunny, Spanglish soul-pop sound. Since forming in 2015, Holly Holden y Su Banda have performed at international music festivals in the Dominican Republic, Haiti and New York and, in 2017, released ‘Tropical Soul’ – a six track EP – to much critical acclaim.
At home in the UK, Holly Holden y Su Banda have performed at most major music festivals including Glastonbury, Greenman and Boomtown and have opened for the likes of Vicente García and Johnny Flynn. Holly’s long awaited anticipated album ‘Green Guava’ will be released on 7th August 2020.
Aside from her solo project Holly is also a member of the exciting all-female vocal collectives Deep Throat Choir in London and El Palomar in Mexico City. She also sings and plays in folk outfit Johnny Flynn and the Sussex Wit, and toured as a vocalist with dubstep producer Mala in live performances of his acclaimed album ‘Mala in Cuba’. In summer 2017 Holly released ‘Agua Salá’ a bossa-bolero track written and recorded in Cartagena, Colombia.
