About this event
Alison makes hand thrown pieces true to her Cornish Heritage from her studio in Devoran, South Cornwall.
Her current work includes Raku fired pieces that allow smoke and fire to define the pots and create their own honesty; and gas fired reduction pieces for every day use.
Clay is sourced from St Agnes in Cornwall and the glazes made from locally sourced materials from dug clays as slips and ash glazes from the wood burner, which can fire to a beautiful celadon blue.
Her studio along the Old Tram Road in Devoran overlooks the beautiful Devoran Creek, and is surrounded by popular walks and cycle routes. Make a day of it and enjoy some of the South Coast scenery!
