About this event
Take a guided tour of the Leach Pottery Museum and Studio followed by a trip to the Gaolyard Studios in St Ives and meet the potters. The Leach Pottery, founded in 1920 by Bernard Leach, established a legacy of pottery in St Ives which continues to flourish at both the Gaolyard Studios and the Leach Pottery.

Time : 6.30 – 9pm
Agenda: 6.30pm – 7.30pm
Meet at the Leach Pottery Museum for a 40 minute guided-tour of the museum and opportunity to have a feel of throwing on a potter’s kick wheel.
Participants can then make their way down to the Gaolyard Studio to be greeted by the potters.
8 – 9pm
Join some of the potters of the Gaolyard studios. Explore the studios and find out about their practices in an informal Q & A session. (Unfortunately, due to the Gaolyard being a very old building it is inaccessible for wheelchair users).
