About this event
This event is part of ‘And Everything And Nothing Has Changed’ (2021). A 5 month Public Arts & Heritage Programme by Cornish Queer Artist & Producer Robin Sullivan.
A night of Cornish Performances right in the heart of the Clay Country under the iconic Sky Tip. The set for such an event…. An illuminated Stone Circle installation of course!
‘’Expect stunning visuals, incredible local creatives, laughter and possibly a mishap or two.’’ – Robin Sullivan
For this event Robin has teamed up with friends and associates of Par based Community Arts Group, Covid & Beyond, who have been engaging with local people throughout the Covid-19 pandemic to help improve mental well-being though creative activities and strengthen community bonds. They have been running incredible workshops in Improv, Poetry, Ceramics and Drawing through funding and support from Creative Civic Change, Par Bay.
Their groups, alongside other local musicians and performers will be taking over this temporary installation for an evening of celebrations. Through these performances, and the event as a whole, we will be exploring what community means to us and expressing our collective sense of place.
Stone Circles are usually thought of only as ritualistic sites, Robin’s research reimagines what a ritual site is and instead proposes these sites as Civic Spaces; meeting points bridging the gap between one community and another, a place to learn, share, celebrate and hold both hard and trivial conversations.
All events within the programme are free but limited in capacity. For more information on this event, How to book your place and how you can get involved in the rest of programme go to WWW.ROBINJAMESSULLIVAN.COM or email Robin on [email protected]
The Night of the Nine Stones performance alongside the Willow workshops have been kindly funded by FEAST.
‘And Everything And Nothing Has Changed’ has been made possible with generous support and funding from; Eco-bos, Imerys, Austell Project, the Coastal Communities Fund, Creative Civic Change, Arts Council England, Cornwall Heritage Trust, FEAST, Royal Cornwall Museum, Wheal Martyn Museum, Cornwall College and Cultivator Cornwall.
