About this event
This event is part of ‘And Everything And Nothing Has Changed’ (2021). A 5 month Public Arts & Heritage Programme by Cornish Queer Artist & Producer Robin Sullivan.
The DIY Temporary Art Space at West Carclaze will be open for drop in visitors over 3 weeks with lead artist Robin Sullivan. (Due to covid-19 prebooking will be essential)
These sessions are to help create the Ceramic Standing Stone Sculptures which will be used in a Performative Firing Event over August Bank Holiday!
During the sessions there will be introductions into the natural processes that turn Granite into the minerals used in the ceramics industry and the industrial processes used to harness these materials. (Conversations around the material history of our economy, landscape and culture are welcomed.)
These materials will then be used to make up the clay body recipe for the Sculpture. Each day we will be mixing and wedging the materials, coiling, layering and finally forming the surface textures of the Standing Stone.
All events within the programme are free but limited in capacity. For more information on this event and how you can get involved in the rest of programme go to WWW.ROBINJAMESSULLIVAN.COM
