About this event
Venue: Engine Room at The Exchange
Andrew Ziminski has been a church stonemason for 35 years. His book, Church Going, is a stonemason’s story about the early West Country saints, their stones and churches. It is a journey across the country – and through time – into Saxon crypts, crumbling Norman towers and medieval chancels, tracing the legends embedded in stone, timber and stained glass. But this is not just about architectural history: it is a meditation on faith, community, and continuity, offering a mason’s-eye view of how the sacred has shaped the built landscape of today. Expect tales of hands-on conservation, archaeological discovery and strange beauty, which will appeal to anyone interested in architecture, heritage and spirituality
Concessions strictly for: under-18s, full-time students, those in receipt of working-age benefits or Pension Credit
