Carolyn Kennett FRAS
Rough Tor and the Hurlers are some of the richest prehistoric landscapes in Cornwall. They both have incredible dark skies and offer wonderful opportunities to explore the relationship that the builders of the past had with the skyscape above them.
Carolyn will talk about her research into the skies at these locations. She will discuss the incredible triple stone circle site of the Hurlers, describing how the Milky Way may have played a part in the connectivity that people had with the sky at this site.
She will then take a look at the sites around Rough Tor, with the impressive rocky ridge running from Showery Tor to its peak, ever drawing the eyes skywards in wonder.
