ARKangel at St Ives September Festival

ARKangel are bringing their new Milonga del Angel show to the St Ives Society of Artists’ Mariners Gallery on Wednesday, September 15.

Through music and word, trace the rich and intimate story of Tango … from the slave plantations of the Caribbean to the stinking meat factories of Buenos Aires … from the folk traditions that inspired this improvisatory art form to the stunning tangos of Guardia Viejo and the Golden Age … from the oppression of the military junta to the explosion of late twentieth century Tango Nuevo.

It follows ARKangel’s 2019 St Ives’ Lullaby of Andalusia show, which the duo – Katherine and Alan Clark – had premiered at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
