About this event
Creative writing tutor and author of over 30 novels, Jenny Kane focuses on character, location and the development of structure and pace on the page, and explains how to instantly engage your reader (whatever the genre). Through short writing exercises, she will also show you how to maintain enough tension, suspense and action to keep a reader turning the pages of any stories you may write.
Jenny Kane has been writing professionally for the past 18 years. With over 30 novels published to date (including Frost Falls at The Potting Shed, Midsummer Dreams at Mill Grange and A Cornish Escape as Jenny Kane, and The Folville Chronicle series as Jennifer Ash), she is currently working with two publishers; Headline (Headline/Accent imprint) and Head of Zeus (Aria imprint).
Jenny has also written 9 audio scripts and novellas for ITV’s popular 1980’s television show, Robin of Sherwood. – The Waterford Boy, Mathilda’s Legacy, The Baron’s Daughter and The Meeting Place. (Released by Spiteful Puppet from 2017-2021.)
Jenny teaches creative writing via her tutoring business, Imagine. She is also the writer in residence for Costa, Tiverton, Devon.
