Bryan Pearce: Ways of Seeing
Friday 9th October, 2-3:30pm
Join Mike Dymond in his talk and workshop introducing the work of Bryan Pearce, and featuring some rarely seen works from the collection. The talk will be followed by a workshop where attendees will be invited to explore Bryan Pearce’s style with some informal sketching. No previous art experience or resources required, only curiosity and enthusiasm!

John Singer Sargent’s Murals
Tuesday 6th October, 1-2pm
An insight into John Singer Sargent’s work in the museum collection as related to his mural cycles in Boston, Massachusetts. Few people in the UK associate the ‘ultimate swagger painter’, John Singer Sargent, with a 30 year career as a mural artist. Curator Henrietta Boex has been delving into the Museum archives to reveal a fascinating story that follows on from Sargent’s death in April 1925.
