Lecture 2. History and Appreciation of Penlee House Gallery’s Art Collection Course.

This 2nd lecture in a series of 7 on Penlee House gallery’s fine and decorative art collection with Catherine Wallace features Views of Mounts Bay, Penzance and Newlyn. The aim is to look at the development of the towns of Penzance and Newlyn from the 18th century in prints, posters & paintings to contemporary paintings & drawings. Artists include Walter Tremenheere R.T. Pentreath, J.G. Moyle, Henry Martin, Walter Langley, Ralph Todd, Norman Garstin. Stanhope Forbes, John Miller, Michael ‘Mouse’ Roberts, Fred Yates, Alfred Drew, Fred Mercer, W. Langley, Geoffrey Garnier, Alec Walker, Adrian Ryan, Neil Pinkett and more.
