An exciting mix of paintings, sculpture & ceramics
We have 3 new shows opening on 31st August: a completely new selection of work from our Members makes up their autumn exhibition, which runs until 2nd November; in the Studio Gallery, Peter Wray & Judy Collins introduce a collection of their acclaimed maritime themed work – ‘Of Land and Sea’: recent collaborative paintings, and in the New Gallery, we have ‘In the Fold 2’, where Noel Betowski presents 65 large-scale paintings arranged as one; both these shows run until 28th September – Private View for all three is Friday 30th August, 17.30-19.30 – all welcome.
From 5th October – 2nd November, in the Studio Gallery we have a Venice-themed exhibition of Philip Wakeham’s wonderful cast bronze sculpture, paired with the magical etchings of Sally Spens, and the New Gallery hosts an exhibition celebrating 70 years of the Penwith Society of Arts. Private View for both shows is Friday 4th October, 17.30-19.30 – all welcome.
On 9th November the Members’ work has a complete change for their Winter Show, taking us through to 11th Jan. 2020. Also starting on 9th November, running until 7th December, is the Associates’ Winter exhibition, which promises a wide and eclectic variety of work from newcomers and established artists alike; alongside this, in the Studio Gallery, we have for the first time a collaboration of work from some of the artists who rent their studios from the Penwith, working above and around the gallery. The Private View for all 3 of these is Friday 8th November 17.30-19.30 – everyone welcome.
Please see our website for more details of all the above shows.
