About this event
Some of the best stories are told at the bar or by the fireside of a good pub.
The mix of good ale and good cheer illuminates the memories, as the histories and mysteries of past, present and future are shared. As many people are currently missing the opportunity to hear or tell such tales in a pub, we invite you to join us for a Back of a Beermat story writing session by the flickering light of your computer screen.
Hosts Katie Etheridge & Simon Persighetti will guide you through some fun and creative exercises towards the telling and writing of Beermat size stories.
Who is it for?
You may be interested in writing but not sure where to start. Or perhaps you used to enjoy writing but haven’t picked up a pen for years?
This workshop is for residents of Cornwall aged 18+ with no previous experience required.
How do I participate?
Book your free place via Eventbrite. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come basis, with priority given to residents of Cornwall. The workshop will be hosted on Zoom. You will need a computer or tablet with a camera and microphone (usually integrated into the device). Please contact Katie & Simon with any queries about getting set up: [email protected]
Who are the workshop leaders?
Katie Etheridge and Simon Persighetti are Artists, Theatre Makers and Pub Enthusiasts based in Penryn, Cornwall. They are currently working on a project called Future Pub to create a new live performance that debates and celebrates the enduring role of pubs in our communities.
