ARTchive – Badge and Zine workshop with Vicki Aimers

Join Book Artist Vicki Aimers and the ‘Paper Nautilus – Zine and Badge Making Workstation’, to create a zine and rosette badge about the amazing women in your life (past or present).

Together, you will learn how to make a zine (ie. a small handmade low tech publication), learn some interesting collage techniques and create a beautiful rosette badge – all informed by the special women who have inspired you.

All materials are included. However, you may want to bring along some photographs of your inspirational women, and some flattish personal items, such as a small variety of scrap fabrics, brooches, badges etc., anything that has a relevance to your story. All items will only be photocopied in order to preserve your originals.

The cost of the workshop is £15 for a place, and there are two sessions to choose from morning (10am-12.30pm) or afternoon (1pm-3.30pm).

Accessibility

Details

Kresen Kernow is fully wheelchair and pushchair accessible, with lifts to all levels and automatic main entrance doors. Accessible toilets are available on both floors, with a fully-equipped Changing Places toilet also available on the ground floor. Separate baby changing facilities are also available on the ground floor. If you are arriving by vehicle, there are six accessible parking spaces at the Tesco side of the building and a level entrance into the building. If you are arriving on foot or wheels, from Redruth town centre, the closest entrance is at the end of the public path which runs through the old brewery site, from Chapel Street to Kresen Kernow.
