Tension rises to the breaking point in a Cornwall fishing village when the local citizens are crowded out by tourists.

The summer season brings simmering tensions between the locals and newcomers to boiling point, with tragic consequences.

Stunningly shot on a vintage 16mm camera using monochrome Kodak stock, Mark Jenkin’s Bait is a timely and funny, yet poignant new film that gets to the heart of a community facing unwelcome change.

Townshend Film Club is part of C Fylm, Cornwall’s network of community film clubs. When you come to your first C Fylm screening, you will pay £6 for a C Fylm membership, and get your first film for free! Once you become a member you will be able to buy members tickets at any film club across the network.
