About this event
Make your beach finds into cool, contemporary statement jewellery using cold connection techniques such as threading, crochet, tiger tail and wirework. Clean the beach and make your own unique jewellery!
You will make wire-wrapped sea-glass and beach plastic rings and pendants, crocheted wire and ghostnet cuffs and big, pop art collage necklaces.
Sarah Drew is a found materials and eco-jewellery designer based in St Austell. Using recycled materials and ‘rubbish’, combined with recycled silver and brass, she employs a sustainable way of creating unique pieces that aren’t a strain on new resources. Sarah has published three books on jewellery making and regularly holds workshops at her studio and around Cornwall.
