About this event
Becky has always taken inspiration from the natural world around her. She paints largely from surroundings on the coast and wider landscape, while also inspired by adventure and travel. Spending time outdoors is her biggest passion; whether it’s swimming in the sea, running the coast path, camping in the wild or sailing on local rivers. This connection with the natural world seeps into her work, in the hope to inspire a similar connection in the viewer.
She paints mostly in acrylics; often delicate and detailed works on paper or wooden panel, inviting the viewer to be drawn to spot the beauty in the simple things we can find on our doorstep every day.
Becky graduated from Falmouth University in 2013, having undertaken a (BA)Hons Fine Art degree. She felt no need to travel elsewhere for her studies, finding her inspiration primarily in the landscapes that she grew up amongst. It has been in more recent years that she has returned her focus back to her painting, also drawing on studies of Yoga and her work as a gardener to add depth to her artwork.
