An open-air gig to celebrate the start of summer! Blick Bassy has become one of Africa’s most inventive
and distinctive singer-songwriters, and he’ll be bringing his soulful sounds to the Amphitheatre in this special performance.
Now based in northern France, Blick Bassy has developed a unique style mixing African, Latin and American
musical influences with lyrics in the Cameroonian Bassa language and backing that sees his guitar and banjo
work collide with cello and trombone. Fed by his love for singers like Skip James and Marvin Gaye, and by his
deep reverence for the traditional music of Africa, this is a show not to be missed.
Pre-gig vegetarian/vegan bbq will be served up by the wonderful Cabana Kitchen and Café.
