About this event
Richemont Lewis, who lives in Cornwall, England, was born in Queens, New York, in 1964. He is a professional architect, designer, artist and author. Richemont’s interests include science, international politics, economics, automotive design, psychology, and mysteries of the unknown. Many of these themes are woven into his brilliant Cornish crime caper book ‘Turf’:
Council grass cutter-turned-sleuth Tom Trelawney is moonlighting as a groundsman at the imposing clifftop estate of Treludannan, home to the enigmatic turf tycoon Sir Terrance Chudleigh. However, nothing is what it seems at the country manor, and the further Tom investigates, the murkier the truths of Treludannan become. Unwittingly finding signs of disturbing activity, Tom and his colourful mates discover a prickly plot of intrigue, spelling dire implications beyond their beloved county.
Set in coastal West Cornwall, Turf is a literary novel that reads like a detective story, irreverently informed by Tom’s musings on history, economics, religion, friendship, old wisdom, and the popular culture.
