About this event
The studio is next to my home in Boskenna, a farming hamlet above stunning St Loy Cove. Converted from an old barn apple store, it’s now a light filled space with double doors into the garden. Visitors are welcome to explore this and the walled house garden. Walks to the cove are beautiful from our home, so if you have time, do explore.
As an artist I am known for my landscapes and work with several galleries both in Cornwall and further afield. I trained at St Martin’s, Camberwell and Wimbledon Art Schools and teach landscape painting with the Newlyn School of Art. In Cornwall I am represented by Livingstone St. Ives but show in other galleries in Cornwall and further afield. My art practice extends into other areas though, and a visit to the studio will be a chance to explore some of my project work on environmental issues. I love to talk about it! This year I am doing some work in Tremenere Sculpture Garden so my sketch books, studies and early thoughts and ideas can be seen in the studio. I have many sketch books going back 30 odd years so visitors are very welcome to browse those.
