About this event

An introduction to linocut relief printmaking, using botanical shapes and designs to make a one-colour print.

This session will familiarise participants with the nature of relief printmaking and the tools and materials used. We will play with the tools, learning technique through doing, followed by a little tuition, then move on to designing a carvable block.

All participants will have the opportunity to print proofs of their block, both by hand and by table-top press.

For ages 14 and up.
