About this event

Creative mechanical skills workshop for people aged 16+ run by Discovering 42 and Fi Henshall.

Create your own metal automata with cams, levers, pulleys, and a treasure trove of found materials that you can assemble and customise with guidance from renowned artist, Fi Henshaw.

Fi will introduce you to basic mechanisms as you learn how they can be combined with form to create automata that have a playful narrative theme. Please bring any interesting materials or objects you might want to incorporate in your piece and any favourite hand tools.

Participants can drop by anytime after 10:00 am.

This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund. Cornwall Council has been chosen by Government as a Lead Authority for the fund and is responsible for monitoring the progress of projects funded through the UK Community Renewal Fund in Cornwall.
