About this event
Join the Bumblebee Conservation Trust to learn about bumblebees, followed by a bumblebee safari around the garden.
Join Pip Cook for an introduction to the bumblebees we can find in Cornwall. Pip is the South West Project Officer for Bumblebee Conservation Trust and is working on a project to learn more about the rare and declining Moss carder bumblebee in Cornwall.
For the workshop, she will talk about a bumblebee’s life cycle, how to identify common species of bumblebee and how we can all help them in our gardens and community spaces.
This will be followed by a “bumblebee safari” walk around the gardens looking for and identifying any bumblebees that we find.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
This event is ticketed on a donation basis. Suggested donation £5. Eventbrite only allows one donation ticket to be purchased at a time, for multiple tickets please order them one at a time. Apologies for the inconvience.
50% of the net ticket income will be donated to the Bumblee Conservation Trust.
