Are you a frontline worker or part of the Cornish community?
Do you want to learn how to respond if you see or hear inappropriate behaviour in the your community?
Do you sometimes think you should say or do something but don’t know how to intervene safely?
Do you want to know how to be an active bystander but don’t know where to start?
This 90-minute course will enable you to:
• Understand what is an active bystander , the bystander effect and the role of the bystander in the prevention of violence
• Identity a range of tools for bystanders to safely support/challenge others
• Discuss stereotypes and preconceptions
• Understand the term domestic abuse in all its forms
• Understand how domestic abuse impacts on our communities
• Respond to a person who discloses domestic abuse
