Free artist-led creative activities

Painting, water play, wood construction, flower crowns, clay

Paint a colourful still life arrangement of fruit, flowers and vegetables, and create crowns from flowers. Build animals from wood and make houses and habitats of all shapes and sizes from clay. You can also mix earth colours and botanical inks to paint with, and explore ways of moving water uphill using structures made from gutters, tubes and wheels.

CAST-Off sessions run from 10am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4pm. All the activities are free and offered on a drop-in basis, no booking required. Participants of all ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

On Wednesdays from 5 to 26 August, artist Lucy Grant will lead free drop-in activities in our ground floor Art Studio at CAST. There will be different materials and techniques to try each week, including painting, printing and making.
