About this event
New technologies and the internet offer unique perspectives and endless resources for creatives of any kind, particularly writers. Rather than adapting our poetry to the screen, we’ll therefore do it the other way around, by creating together poetry we wouldn’t have created without our screens and devices.
In this playful and relaxed workshop, we’ll learn how to draw inspiration from the digital. Through this approach, which is very much a reinterpretation of Dada and Surrealism for the contemporary world, you’ll learn how to use your internet connection, computer or smartphone to write new pieces – and, which is just as important, how to have fun in the process!
Lou was the Causley Writer in Residence Autumn 2019. She is a bilingual French novelist and poet and is one half of Gertrude Theatre, with Lisa Franklin.
NB This event is only available Online. Please book your Free ticket. You will receive a confirmation of your Order straight away. Later, nearer the event date & time, you will be emailed your personal Zoom link to the Online event.
