An evening of organ music to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the rebuilding of the 1907 Hele Organ

International Concert Organist, David Briggs, will make a return visit to St Ia’s Church, St Ives to perform a concert of music to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the rebuilding of the church’s 1907 Hele Organ and for which he was the consultant when he was Director of Music at Truro Cathedral.

David’s programme will feature organ compositions by Bach and Vierne, but will also include his transcriptions for the organ of orchestral pieces by Brahms and Berlioz. He will also perform an improvisation on a theme submitted by the audience. This is a rare opportunity to hear one of the country’s finest organists performing in Cornwall.
