About this event
Canadian photographer Celina Jennings has been living in Cornwall for the past 16 years.
Celina has been working behind the lens for over 20 years on many projects creating moving and still images. Her life on the North coast of Cornwall has given her a unique chance to become closer to nature and the world around her. Becoming a mother ignited the journey into self discovery. Through moments of visual captures Celina identifies with the subject, the time, and the connection to produce a feeling of significance of that moment in time and the importance it has as a symbolic representation in her life. Celina’s journey in finding the beauty in the everyday and learning through her daily connections has become a passion and a way of accepting the world and who she is. Through the lens Celina enjoys photographing and documenting the world and the connections she makes with it. Celina’s work embraces the feminine whilst trying to discover the masculine.
Alongside Celina Jennings will be a wonderful selection of talented local artisans including a painter, guitar maker, jeweller, ceramicist, sculptor of flotsam and a textile artist working from nettles.
The Mount Pleasant Eco Park venue is well known for showcasing local talent and boasts a wonderful vegetarian café, free parking, dog walks and disabled access. During the weekend you will have access to several artists working in different mediums and a chance to meet the artists themselves. There will also be workshops running alongside the exhibition throughout the weekend. The Eco Park is five minutes drive away from the wonderful Porthtowan beach and is family and dog friendly. There is free parking.
