Join us for two creative and captivating summer workshops, filled with the artistry of surface decoration. Where you have the freedom to choose any or all of our four immersive courses, designed to complement each other and expand your artistic horizons.

Paper and wax resist with slip: discover how paper resist and wax resist can add depth to your Ceramic surface. Learn some top tips and spend a freeing fun afternoon experimenting on 4 tiles. The tiles will be fired and glazed for you to frame or use as coasters. No previous experience necessary; this workshop is suitable for all levels.

The joy of texture: immerse yourself in the tactile wonders of texture, from natural materials to add to slip to unconventional tools to emboss, this course will unlock a world of possibilities and expand your artistic repertoire. Make 4 tiles to add to your collection or turn them into a soap dish . No previous experience in clay necessary, come along and enjoy some time for you.

Super Sgraffito: unleash the hidden layers within your pottery through the art of sgraffito – By
drawing through layers of coloured slip to reveal the contrasting surface underneath, create lovely marks and draw into the clay. Again turn your mark making into a unique piece of art to give to someone or keep to yourself. No previous experience in clay is necessary. This workshop is suitable for all.

Expressive Brushwork and Messy Mark Making: set your inhibitions free and immerse yourself in a day of spontaneous creativity. This standalone course celebrates the power of expressive brushwork and messy mark making. Explore bold brushstrokes, splatters and drips and watch as your pottery becomes your canvas. Working on a flat surface you can enjoy the process, and learn how to free yourself up. Your works of art can be framed as an alternative to a painting.
