About this event
She used to be drop-dead gorgeous, now she’s dropped dead.
Dearly Beloved,
We are gathered here today to celebrate the life and work of Charlie Bicknell, cabaret artist, actress, circus eccentric. 1970 1980 – Last Week.
She is survived by Louise Innes, ‘internationally acclaimed’ Opera singer and suspiciously alive cabaret partner. Accompanied by a grieving David Harrod on the piano (but then he’s always miserable) and her mourning gardener Will Robinson, eye-candy for the congregation. Reverend Jonathan Booth will deliver his eulogy, inspired by The Seven Ages of Man. Illustrated robustly with the help of Tim Minchin, Jacques Brel, Billy Eilish and Mozart, among others.
‘Charlotte Bicknell is a classy chanteuse in whom sex and wit, style and charm make a high octane mix. Lean way back in your seat and enjoy the ride.’ – Godfrey Smith – The Times
