About this event

A magical six-week celebration of Cornish art, craft and making at Seafolk in Par.

Christmas at Seafolk brings together a specially curated collection of contemporary art, craft and jewellery for six wonderfully atmospheric weeks in Par, between Fowey and Charlestown.

From 13 November to 23 December, Seafolk’s intimate gallery and working jewellery studio will be filled with work by selected Cornish artists and makers, alongside contemporary jewellery and metalwork by Seafolk founder Belinda Latimer.

Expect ceramics, paintings, textiles, print, beautifully made objects and original jewellery – chosen for their craftsmanship, individuality and sense of story.

Seafolk is not a conventional gift shop. Visitors are invited to look closely, discover the people and processes behind the work and explore the gallery’s ‘Talking Wall’, where sketches, tools, found objects and inspirational curiosities offer a glimpse behind the making.

With an atmospheric, old-fashioned Christmas feel, changing displays and special late openings, Christmas at Seafolk is designed to be a festive shopping experience worth making a journey for.

Come and discover something original, beautifully made and distinctly Cornish – and meet some of the artists and makers behind the work along the way.
