Exhibition of the 380th anniversary of the Battle of Losthwithiel at Castle Dore

ISOT are hosting an exhibition at St Andrew’s Church Tywardreath, on Friday 30th Aug and Saturday 31st Aug, 10am to 4pm, on the anniversary of the Civil War battle at Castle Dore (Battle of Lostwithiel).

Learn about why there was a Civil War and how it changed the lives of those living locally. Learn about Castle Dore’s secrets and of Daphne du Maurier’s King’s General, the story set at Menabilly and how the plaque to Honor Harris in the church gave Daphne the inspiration to write the story.
