About this event

Using hand-building pottery techniques to make clay forms or vessels with interchangeable elements.

Led by multidisciplinary artist Bridgette Ashton, the focus of this tactile pottery workshop will be on forming a connection with the material rather than technical perfection. Ceramic pieces from Bridgette’s exhibition will be at hand to examine with discussions about the themes behind the work in ‘Artificialia’.

The workshop outcomes will later be fired and returned to participants.

All participants will receive a free copy of Bridgette’s limited run ‘Artificialia : A Few Fake Minerals & Fancy Plinths’ publication.

All materials provided, no experience necessary. Suitable for participants age 16+
