About this event
Join us for a calming afternoon of creative collaging at St Cubert’s Church on Friday 10th July from 1pm – 3pm.
Angela will be on hand to provide gentle guidance, showing you simple techniques for using shapes, textures, and layers of paper to bring your ideas to life. You don’t need any prior experience or particular art skills to join in, and there is absolutely no pressure to create a ‘masterpiece’ or rush your work; our main hope is that you simply enjoy the tactile process of cutting, tearing, and pasting at a pace you are comfortable with.
All the creative resources and materials you need will be laid out and ready for you, alongside examples to use if you find them helpful.
If you have any of your own materials you would like to incorporate – such as favourite coloured pens, specific magazine cuttings, or textured papers – please feel free to bring them along. Otherwise, just bring yourself!
This drop-in session is part of HushFest, Cornwall’s Festival of Quietness, taking place from 4th to 10th July 2026. Through exhibitions, workshops, performances, and community-created artwork, HushFest celebrates quietness as a source of creativity, connection, and belonging.

Details
Due to the historic nature of the building, the church is currently not wheelchair accessible and requires navigating steps at the entrance and between internal areas.
