About this event
KAI SAMRA Award winning comedian Kai Samra has quickly risen to become one of the most exciting acts on the circuit today. Described as ‘a charismatic man with a great story’ (Steve Bennett, Chortle), Samra combines an edgy stage presence, a confident delivery and talks frankly about issues such as class, race and modern culture from an intelligent, unique and fresh perspective.
His five-star critically acclaimed debut show ‘Underclass’ was followed by a week long run at Soho Theatre, recommended by The Guardian, The Observer and was in the list of best shows at the Edinburgh Fringe by Fest Mag.
He has performed live on BBC Asian Network and been featured on BBC3, ITV2’s Stand Up Sketch Show and was a commissioned writer for BBC Radio 4’s award nominated series Sketchtopia.
With such an impressive debut it is exciting to imagine what Samra will go on to achieve. ***** Ed Fest Mag
