About this event
It’s back! SproutSpoken is delighted to have teamed up with a number of other partner organisations and passionate individuals to build on the success of the inaugural event last year and proudly presents Connecting on the Court 2023.
Last year brought together forty partner organisations and hundreds of residents for a fantastic one-day celebration of Newquay. Returning, bigger and better for 2023, this free gathering takes place on the Killacourt, one of Newquay’s best-loved green spaces overlooking Towan Beach. As well as a key production partner, SproutSpoken will also be curating the Bandstand Stage – providing a hearty mix of music, spoken word, performance and more…
From an organisation perspective, it is a perfect opportunity for groups from the third, charitable or public sector to showcase what they do to the public. It is a chance to raise awareness, reach out, connect, recruit and engage. The day offers a fantastic environment for in-person connections with people from other organisations to find ways to collaborate and cross-promote. It is also a fun opportunity for team members to ‘get out’ for the day and proudly represent their organisation.
From the perspective of Newquay residents, it provides something for everyone – with a rich variety of stalls and stands (showcasing community-minded groups and the work they do in the town) and an event that has a friendly festival feel, including performances, entertainment, workshops, arts, crafts, games and plenty of opportunities for connection and interaction.
Connecting on the Court is grateful to Newquay Town Council and Newquay BID for their generous financial backing of the event this year.
