Virtually travel from the earth to the moon!
Whatever your reason, we are over the moon you have chosen to support Cornwall Care!
As well as offering residential, palliative and dementia care to the elderly in our 16 care homes, we have a dedicated team who work in the community. Our Home Care service supports people in their own homes, helping them to stay independent for as long as possible. And our Supportive Lifestyles team provides care and support for younger individuals with unique needs, both physical and psychological. We do all this across the length and breadth of Cornwall.
To celebrate our 25th Anniversary in 2021, we have decided to virtually travel the distance from the earth to the moon. That’s 384,400km and with you aboard we can achieve it. By purchasing a ‘ticket’ on our Eventbrite page, you are already taking ‘One small step…’ on the journey, so thank you.
This is a worrying time for the entire nation, and for many of our residents those worries are heightened – families can’t visit, and those with dementia don’t necessarily understand the impact the pandemic is having. It’s our job to fill their hearts and minds with as much love and joy as possible, whilst enhancing their lives with activities to stimulate and enrich their physical and mental well-being. Now more than ever, your support makes such an amazing difference.
To help us achieve our overall distance, you may decide to strengthen your body with a physical challenge, or strengthen your mind with something more sedate such as crafting. We can convert your activity (as well as donations) into kilometres that will help us reach our goal. Fundraising is huge fun, however during these uncertain times please make sure you follow all current guidelines to keep yourself and others safe and well. Together, let’s ‘Reach for the Moon’.
We are here to guide you along your fundraising route, so please feel free to contact us if we can help with any questions at all. Once again, a huge thank you from us and best of luck!
