Cornwall Garden Society Daytime Lecture

Embrace your Evergreens.

The Cornwall Garden Society’s (CGS) November lectures will be delivered by Bob Brown who is a plantsman of wide renown, having introduced and discovered many well-known cultivars.

Cotswold Garden Flowers, which he runs in partnership with his son, Edmund, specialises in unusual perennials for the flower garden and offers one of the largest collections of plants for sale in one location in Europe.

Bob continues to extend his encyclopaedic knowledge and contribute to the world of horticulture by speaking at events and regularly writing for Which? magazine.

He has received many accolades including the prestigious Gold Veitch Memorial Medal, which is awarded by the RHS to those who have made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of the science and practice of horticulture.

Brightening up the Garden in November will be his subject on Tuesday 9th November at 7.30pm at The Alverton in Truro whilst Evergreens will be his focus on Wednesday 10th November at 2.30pm at St Mellion International Resort in Saltash.

These lectures are free for CGS members. Non-members are welcome to attend to find out more about the Society and donations are gratefully received.

A selection of plants from Cotswold Garden Flowers will be available for purchase at both lectures.

The CGS is a charity that exists to encourage and improve the science, art and practise of horticulture in all its branches; share knowledge about gardening and Cornwall’s rich garden heritage, and conserve the county’s natural environment.
