About this event

Free ensemble sessions for ages 13-17 to learn electronic music, live visual programming, modular synthesis, drum machines, or sampling.

Choose from one of three exciting ensembles to join.

Space Ensembles (modular synthesis): Learn how to make music on state-of-the-art synth modules such as oscillators, filters and envelope generators. You’ll be shown free software to use too. Synths have been used by the world’s biggest artists, from Aphex Twin to Charli XCX.

Earth Ensembles (drum machines & sampling): Want to learn how to make amazing beats? Or programme and chop up samples? Using the latest equipment, you’ll learn how to create drum voices and samples from the ground up, and put them into patterns that evolve over time.

Vision Ensembles (programming live visuals): Want to have a go at making concert visuals? Are you an aspiring video artist? We’ll help you brainstorm ideas and learn how to bring your vision to life using pro visual programming software… you’ll even find out how to hook up Xbox controllers!

No experience necessary. All equipment provided. You can choose to work towards a recognised Arts Award qualification. There will be a performance on 16 July 2025.

Booking essential (via Moogie Wonderland). Two sessions may take place at a difference venue.
