Booking not needed. This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.
Saturday 3 to Sunday 11 May 2025, 12noon to 4pm
‘Bleujenn,’ Cornish for ‘blossom,’ explores the beauty and interconnectedness of spring flowers and the wildlife they sustain. Focusing on apple, cherry, blackthorn, and pear, Toms celebrates the fragile yet vital relationship between these blooms and the creatures that rely on them for food and pollination.
Proud of her Cornish heritage, the artist weaves the Cornish language through the name of each painting, and tradition and folklore throughout.
This exhibition in the Victorian Drawing Room encourages reflection on the deep-rooted connection between Cornwall’s natural world and its cultural heritage, fostering a greater appreciation for both.
Head to Visitor Welcome for normal entry and be directed to the exhibition.
Please note, this exhibition is held primarily in the Victorian Drawing Room on first floor of the house and there is no step-free access available. However, there will be part of the exhibition available to view in the East Range lobby on the ground floor.
