About this event
In collaboration with the Bull Pen Gallery, discover Laura Wakeham’s newest exhibition for an ‘exploration between perception and creation.’
Booking not needed. This exhibition is free to enjoy, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.
Saturday 18 July to Sunday 26 July 2026, 12noon to 4pm
Laura Wakeham’s vision of the world around her creates meticulous, intricate pieces of art on full display in her exhibition at Cotehele.
Born and raised in Cornwall, Laura is constantly inspired by the Cornish landscape, and it continues to shape and inspire her practice. Working in oil paint, she explores traditional landscape painting in a contemporary context, focusing on perception, atmosphere and emotional connection to place.
In this new series Laura captures National Trust places in all their variety and beauty, and her paintings promise to examine the intricate relationship between nature and the self.
Join us to take in ‘Through My Eyes’ in the Victorian Drawing Room and Victorian Library in the East Wing.
Please note, the Victorian Drawing Room is on the first floor and there is no step-free access. There will be parts of the exhibition on the ground floor in the East Range lobby and the Victorian Library which can be accessed by a small ramp.
Families welcome
