About this event
An exhibition inspired by the River Tamar.
Booking not needed. This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.
Saturday 15 June to Sunday 30 June 2024, 10am to 4pm
An exhibition in collaboration with the Bull Pen Gallery.
This exhibition is centred on the stretch of the River Tamar close to Cotehele. The tide still has a significant effect on the river here. Wetlands have been introduced, creating wonderful new habitats for wildlife along the banks of this tidal river.
Mark’s paintings record his response and observation of the river at different times of day, with the ever-changing colours and moods of this fascinating area between Halton Quay and Calstock. In addition, Mark is also exhibiting his pond reflection paintings, inspired by the Upper Pond at Cotehele.
Mark lives only a few miles from Cotehele and has been visiting and being inspired the house and gardens and river above which Cotehele sits for 30 years.
The exhibition takes place in the Victorian Drawing Room at Cotehele House
There are steps to the Victorian Drawing Room, but artworks can be shown in the Victorian library downstairs, which has step free access.
