About this event
Dance Centred’s Curious Creatures are in Town! Over May half-term Dance Centred invites you to join in with Intergenerational dance workshops, a chance to chat and dance over a cup of tea, ‘warm up with the company’ morning classes for all ages, and to come along to the fabulous and flamboyant Curious Creatures performance adding that extra special something to the Jubilee weekend celebrations.
Expect to have a really good dance, smile, make new friends and enjoy being with old ones, be part of something, be curious, make discoveries, try something new, be creative and celebrate as a whole community.
Dance Workshops – Bring your Dad, your Gran, your kids, your neighbours…let’s get Lostwithiel dancing! This is a fun dance workshop that everyone can do and is truly for all ages. Learn some of the choreography the company will be performing, have a great time dancing with others (under 11s accompanied by a participating adult please), gain skills, and confidence and learn some moves to join in with the performance on Saturday if you wish.
A Chat, a Dance, a Cup of Tea, While Away Some Time with Me… a friendly face, a pot of tea, some flowers, a plate of fig rolls and some music…an invitation for individuals or small groups to have a 10 minute slot for a chat and a cup of tea with one of the lead dance artists. This is an intimate experience where you can share your hopes, dreams, curiosities and loves about dance, music, life and Lostwithiel and have a dance if you fancy.
Warm up with the Curious Creatures Company
Open to all ages these fun, accessible dance and exercise sessions will give participants a good work-out alongside the Dance Centred company dancers – a great start to the day!
Curious Creatures Performance – Bright, colourful, surprising and curious…a group of dancers emerge and delight in their surroundings. A playful promenade dance piece full of fun and energy which ends with an invitation to the audience to join in and dance too. For all ages
