Annamaria Murphy is the artistic director of The Story Republic and one of Cornwall’s leading writers of short stories inspired by Cornwall’s rich and varied communities which she captures with her own distinctive humour and slightly wicked delight!
The Story Republic are an ensemble of performers who perform widely at events and festivals. They have recently returned from sea-tossed adventures in the Isles of Scilly. Their repertoire is a rich medley of stories, poems and gorgeous harmonies inspired by Cornwall, many written by Anna but also other contemporary writers as well as the great Charles Causley. They are renowned for their wit, glamour and alluring storytelling.
